What should we wear during the tour?

We highly recommend wearing sturdy, close-toed shoes for your safety and comfort. It's also advisable to bring a hat or sun protection to shield yourself from the sun. As weather conditions can change, we suggest bringing a rain jacket as well. Additionally, a light sweater may be useful for cooler moments during the tour.

Can you accommodate guests in wheelchairs?

We regret to inform you that our guides are unable to push or assist with wheelchair mobility. Furthermore, we do not provide wheelchairs for guests. It's important to note that our tours involve physical activity and require a certain level of physical exertion. Throughout the tour, you may encounter various elements, such as a large step up into the van, tight aisles, steep hills in either direction, stairs, uneven surfaces, wet surfaces, and loose sand. If you have specific questions about the activity level of a particular tour, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email or text message for more detailed information.

Is alcohol allowed on the tour?

In accordance with Hawai'i laws, the consumption of or an open container of alcohol is not permitted in any vehicle during the tour. As Discover Paradise Adventures, we prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Therefore, we reserve the right to ask a guest to disembark if necessary to ensure compliance with the law and maintain a safe environment for everyone involved.

What is included in the tour?

Tour rates are inclusive of transportation, small snacks, water and disposable ponchos if necessary.

Will there be a stop for lunch?

As the tour duration is limited and considering the group size, we have not scheduled a specific lunch stop. However, we highly recommend having a hearty breakfast before the tour to keep your energy levels up. Additionally, guests are welcome to bring their own snacks to enjoy during breaks throughout the day. To ensure a comfortable experience for all passengers, we kindly request that food not be consumed while onboard the van.

What is your cancellation policy?

(1) Full refund if you cancel 15 days or more from the tour start date. (2) Full refund if you cancel due to specific unforeseeable events such as travel restrictions imposed by governments, war, civil insurrection, strike, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster; circumstances where a cruise ship cannot dock, or flight to your destination is cancelled.

Can I bring my drone or camera?

While cameras are welcome, drones are not allowed in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.

Though we have a compact collapsible wheelchair available for guests, our guides cannot push/assist with wheelchair mobility. Our tours are active and require some physical exertion.
